Confession: I have house fever. You know like some ladies have baby fever? Well, I have house fever. My mind is over run with the desire to buy and decorate a home as of late! Maybe getting married has increased my feelings on the idea, but I'm hoping we can somehow get our foot in the door of this crazy Toronto real estate market!

I came across this Parisian apartment and while I typically trend towards neutral palettes, there's no denying the amazing use of color and pattern in the space. Book marking this one for future inspiration.

it's all coming together

Henderson Armchair from Wayfair We took possession of the new house on August 17th, so we're just over two months in, and considering that short amount of time that we've been in it (and the fact we're working full time) the house is looking pretty good. Slowly but surely, the rooms are coming together. One of my favorite parts of the holidays is filling our home with the smell of fresh evergreen. With the start of the cold weather, I swap out the fall scents for pine and cedar and our house instantly transforms into a cozy wooded forest. Candles are my go-to for scenting a space, which is great for your main living space where you spend most of your time but you need some options for unattended spaces as well.
